1. Log into the Central Management Console (CMC)
2. Select 'Promotion Management'
3. Select 'Override Settings'
4. Log into the 'Destination' system (select log off and log into the destination system)
5. Select the problem connection and click 'Delete'
6. Select 'Save'
7. Log into the 'Origin' system (select log off and log into the 'Origin' system
8. Select the problem connection and click 'Delete'
9. Select 'Save'
10. Select 'Start' from the 'Scan:' drop down list to initiate a new scan.
11. The new connection should appear. If not, in the CMC, make a small change to the connection (e.g. update the description and save the change - you can change it back again and save the change a second time). This change updates the last modified time of the object. The Override Scan should now pick it up.
12. Change the connection status to 'Active'
13. Select 'Save'
14. Click 'Promote Overrides'
15. Log into the destination system and select 'Promote'. Once completed you will return to the previous screen
16. Log into the 'Destination' system (select log off and log into the destination system). You should now see the promoted connection.
17. Change of the Status to 'Active' (so that any promotions to this system will use this connection override'
18. Select the connection and click 'Edit'
19. Make the appropriate changes to the connection settings.
20. Click 'Done'
21. Click 'Save'
