The following is the recommendation from SAP ICI Reference document
4.5 Telephony
Design principles:
Phone numbers (lineNumber, RemoteNumbers, dial(ed)Number) are exchanged in a
simplified canonical format which is: + CountryCode AreaCode SubscriberNumber
(without any separator characters). A valid number is e.g.: +496227747474
CTI solutions usually distinguish between phone calls and phone devices. In ICI a
phone call is represented by an IciPhoneCall item whereas the phone device is
represented by a IciPhoneLine container. Hence the callHandle is the same as the
itemId, whereas the lineNumber corresponds to the containerId.
Check with your CTI Vendor if the incoming ANI can be formatted accordingly so that SAP receives this information and ready for screen pop.
