Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly process chains are for meant different data targets and / or for different business scenarios.
ex: you might be loading inventory data once in a month, so this chain is monthly, like wise, you might be loading FIGL (balance sheet) quarterly once, this is as per your business requirement. go through each chain , get the targets then dig in further to your functional spec to get more information.
