How to exclude an attendance type from Time Evaluation (TE)

Dear experts!

After a lot of searching, I still could not find a suitable solution.

My requirement is kind of like the one here: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3595386

But that one is not answered.

We want some of our employees to track cross-training (XT) hours in CATS via attendance type 9888. These hours are a subset of their regular working hours. These employees swipe in/out for their normal working hours.

The supervisor will approve/reject the XT hours.

In TE we have the record based on the in/out swipes in TIP before p2002:

Now P2002 (which we have to keep for other attendances) of course imports attendance type 9888 into TIP:

In a PCR I can remove the 9888 based record from TIP, but that creates of course an undesired gap:

How can I exclude attendance type 9888 from the beginning or how can I revert TIP to the state before the p2002.

Any creative ideas?
