We have a situation where we have to configure Release Strategy for PR's. But we have the below condition
1) Currently an item level release strategy is being used for PR's with Value & Accnt Assignment Category (K & P) as the characteristics. This is tied to the Workflow and is working fine.
2) Now client wants to have a Overall release of PR's with Value, PR Doc. Type, Creation Indicator, MRP Controller, Accnt Assignment Category (Blank) & Plant.
We have configured a new class with Overall Release and assigned the mentioned characteristics. But Release strategy is not triggering for the MRP created PR's.
Upon looking for help in SCN on various other threads, members suggested to create a new Doc.Type and assign the new doc type to the Plant for MRP created Requisitions. But my client is using the system for the past 2 years and i wonder if we can advise for the new Doc.Type.
Is there any other way to handle this? Please share some suggestions to handle this.
