Hi Peri,
I think the confusion comes from the using similar names for different products.
1 To my knowledge IBP (Integrated Business Planning) is a planning solution in the SCM area, i.e. the predecessors are SCM and APO and demand planning.
2 For some time IBP (including the term 'finance') was also used for 'renovated' operational FI-CO planning transactions in S4/HANA. This planning solution is using BPC 10.1 'embedded' model as a technology.
3 With version 10.1 BPC has two types of BPC environments, BPC standard and BPC embedded. The latter is using BW-IP/PAK as the planning engine. BPC 10.1 standard is just the new release of BPC 10.
This forum called 'Business Planning' exists for a long time and is about BW-IP/PAK and not about IBP.
Summing up:
There were not many changes with BPC, 10.1 is just a new release that comes with two types of environments, BPC standard and BPC embedded. The latter technology is reused in 2 for renovated operational planning in S4/HANA; you might call it BPC for finance (I don't know what is the offfical name now). IBP as in 1. is a separate product and should not be confused with 2.

Gregor
